What's it all about?
Situated on the main street of Belgrave, Earthly Pleasures Café is a rich part of local history. Their ever changing dinner menu evolves with the
seasons, providing beautifully innovative meals with little
cost to the earth. All of this in a spacious stone house well
known amongst locals as one of the first doctor’s surgeries
in the hills. Designed by Ole Jorgensen, this heritage listed
Belgrave manor was built in 1931. The main room of the
café boasts high ceilings, offering dining on an upper mez-
zanine and an outdoor terrace. The outer gardens, shaded
by lush trees, also offer a tranquil setting for a relaxed
meal.The Belgrave Manor also has a well established artis-
tic history with close ties to Monsalvat, the famed artist
community in Eltham. Features of both buildings were
created in the Monsalvat workspace. The café’s main room
was once a gallery space and Earthly Pleasures carries on
this tradition by exhibiting work from local artists.
